Tip #10: Map pages to keywords.
Rather than sending a potential customer to a landing or home page, try to link your keyword descriptions to exactly the page that offers the item or information the user wants.  If they have to fumble or search all over the place, they will quickly lose interest and you've instantly missed your opportunity to reach out to that potential customer.  Give them what they want, in the easiest possible format.  People like quick answers and solutions.

Tip #9: Be a bad speller... or at least know how to be one.
You would be amazed how many times people misspell or mistype common words.  For example, if you sell refrigerators, use "refridgerators" as a keyword possibility as well.  People are in a hurry, and you could use their mistake to your advantage!  I used to blog on other websites, and sometimes my posts with a spelling mistake in them brought me the highest number of hits for that reason alone.

Tip #7: Review results consistently.

You'll waste time and money if you don't keep checking which keywords attract specific customers. You can not only pick and choose the optimal keywords, but you can also track which ones pull from which engines. You also learn which engines deliver customers who choose certain products or services. The key is, keep checking back as time passes. New buzzwords or slang, or perhaps a change in society or opinions can all have an impact on the success of your chosen keywords.

Tip #6: Get the "in."

Every industry has its own jargon and buzzwords. Use these to draw in the types of insiders you want to reach. After all, you want to appear as an "expert" in your field, so it is vital that you use cutting edge language to attract the crowd that's out there looking for your information.

Run a campaign (pay-per-click) to find out which keywords have the most draw. This will help you optimize your page for the right keywords without wasting time on words you are unsure about. Use your data to help you make the most effective web page possible! In the long run, this is one of the most important investments you can make.
