There's one easy way to gain added links that you may have never thought of before... 
I'll tell you a secret: Not everyone that references your website posts an actual link to it.  Some people don’t know how to, some people don’t feel the need to, some people haven’t even thought about it and some people are just plain lazy.  When you find these links, simply send the webmaster a personal link request with the link in the email so there's not much effort required on their part.  Voila!  A relevant link that builds your cred and increases site visitors.
How do you find these links?  Search Google, Yahoo!, Technorati, MSN, and every other engine you can think of with:
